Lego Jurassic World And Lego Marvel Avengers Announced

Warner Bros has confirmed that Traveller’s Tales is working on not one, but two, highly sought after Lego videogame adaptations - Lego Jurassic World and Lego Marvel Avengers.Lego Jurassic World will follow the events of the original Jurassic Park trilogy, comprising Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and Jurassic Park III, as well as the upcoming Jurassic World. Aside from sounding like the greatest pairing since Rocksteady and Batman, just imagine a little Lego Jeff Goldblum toddling about your screen.Lego Marvel Avengers meanwhile will incorporate the storylines from Avengers Assemble as well as the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. All the classic Marvel superheroes will no doubt be in tow, and I’d expect this one is going to be fairly similar, in principle at least, to 2013’s Lego Marvel Superheroes.“This year will be the biggest yet for LEGO videogames with these incredible titles and several firsts for the series,” said Tom Stone, managing director at Traveler's Tales Games. “TT Games are crafting humorous LEGO adventures, based on new stories and characters across some of the most well-known and iconic worlds.”Both titles will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

The Hum: Abductions Confirmed for PC & PlayStation 4

Thotwise Games has today revealed new details on their latest project, The Hum: Abductions, formerly known as The Hum: Abduction Chambers. Based in the same universe as the studios’ premiere virtual reality (VR) title, The Hum, The Hum: Abductions is currently in development for both PC and PlayStation 4 formats and will launch as a virtual reality (VR) compatible experience.Originally revealed last year, The Hum tells the tale of the human race on the back foot. Invaded by extra-terrestrial beings, Earth is no longer a densely populated planet. Indeed, in the preview build VRFocus experienced last year, the player was the only survivor in a city torn asunder by aliens, and closely monitored for any remaining human life. The Hum: Abductions however, will offer a companion storyline.
Seemingly set before the events of The Hum, The Hum: Abductions appears to offer an unsettling insight into the arrival of the alien race and their impact upon humans as individuals. This can be seen in the debut trailer featured below. The Hum: Abductions is currently in development using Unreal Engine 4 and will launch on both PlayStation 4 and PC. The trailer includes an Oculus logo, suggesting that the videogame will be compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), however no mention of Project Morpheus has yet been present. VRFocus will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on The Hum: Abductions and The Hum universe.

Dontnod Announces Bloodsucking RPG Vampyr

French developer Dontnod Entertainment has revealed that it's working on a secretive horror-themed RPG called Vampyr, in conjunction with Focus Home Interactive. The team is the very same responsible for upcoming episodic adventure Life is Strange, as well as action adventure Remember Me. Set just after the events of World War One, Vampyr has you playing the role of a doctor who returns home following the global Spanish Flu pandemic. Upon arriving home he’s bitten by a patient, transforming him into a bloodsucking fiend of the night.
The doctor faces a duality of choice represented by the forking Y in the title, as his natural urge to help and heal as a doctor is on the back foot against his vampiric thirst for blood. While Vampyr’s tagline may be ‘Take blood. Save a life’, not all choices will be so black and white, as the good doctor must deal with all sorts of moral quandaries. Vampyr is still in the very early stages of development, but production is expected to ramp up once episodic adventure game Life is Strange begins to go live later this month. If it’s anywhere near as fantastic as Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines then Vampyr could be one to keep an eye on.

SCS Software Confirms February 2015 Release Date For American Truck Simulator Is Bogus

Euro Truck Simulator 2 developer SCS Software has contacted us in regards to a recent rumour that has been doing the rounds, confirming that the sequel, American Truck Simulator, will not be arriving next month as some sites have stated.Placeholder dates on various online stores indicated American Truck Simulator would be arriving in February, 2015, but SCS Software has reiterated that it's never announced any release period whatsoever for the Stateside sequel. Well, looks like I’d best put that copy of American Road Trip Anthems back in its case. Fare thee well Steppenwolf, see you later in the year.Continuing on from the massive success of Euro Truck Sim 2, American Truck Simulator will take trucking over to the United States, and looks to be recreating the entirety of it to scale, with more than 100 explorable cities planned. All-new weighting stations will also be included, where drivers cruising down highways may occasionally be required to verify their loads complies with regulations. This is not a feature that will be getting included in Euro Truck Simulator 2 though.

Dying Light Delayed?

Dying Light has been confirmed as delayed in France by Micromania. We’ll update as soon as a statement has been made.According to a few websites, Dying Light may have been delayed. There’s no official word yet, but it appears the delay is due to certain scenes that need to be changed because similarities to the “January attacks.” Due to the litany of attacks that happened around the world this month, that’s not a clear indicator of what’s going on, but Amazon Francehas changed the release date of the game to March 31 and gaming store fnac has changed it to February 27.All of this seems suspect, however, as there hasn’t been a change to the January 27 release date listed on Dying Light’s homepage. That coupled with Youtube walkthroughs mean this could be absolutely nothing at all, but is something to keep an eye on with the game set to release in less than two weeks. As of right now,Dying Light is listed to release later this month on January 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
