SCS Software Confirms February 2015 Release Date For American Truck Simulator Is Bogus

Euro Truck Simulator 2 developer SCS Software has contacted us in regards to a recent rumour that has been doing the rounds, confirming that the sequel, American Truck Simulator, will not be arriving next month as some sites have stated.Placeholder dates on various online stores indicated American Truck Simulator would be arriving in February, 2015, but SCS Software has reiterated that it's never announced any release period whatsoever for the Stateside sequel. Well, looks like I’d best put that copy of American Road Trip Anthems back in its case. Fare thee well Steppenwolf, see you later in the year.Continuing on from the massive success of Euro Truck Sim 2, American Truck Simulator will take trucking over to the United States, and looks to be recreating the entirety of it to scale, with more than 100 explorable cities planned. All-new weighting stations will also be included, where drivers cruising down highways may occasionally be required to verify their loads complies with regulations. This is not a feature that will be getting included in Euro Truck Simulator 2 though.
