The Hum: Abductions Confirmed for PC & PlayStation 4

Thotwise Games has today revealed new details on their latest project, The Hum: Abductions, formerly known as The Hum: Abduction Chambers. Based in the same universe as the studios’ premiere virtual reality (VR) title, The Hum, The Hum: Abductions is currently in development for both PC and PlayStation 4 formats and will launch as a virtual reality (VR) compatible experience.Originally revealed last year, The Hum tells the tale of the human race on the back foot. Invaded by extra-terrestrial beings, Earth is no longer a densely populated planet. Indeed, in the preview build VRFocus experienced last year, the player was the only survivor in a city torn asunder by aliens, and closely monitored for any remaining human life. The Hum: Abductions however, will offer a companion storyline.
Seemingly set before the events of The Hum, The Hum: Abductions appears to offer an unsettling insight into the arrival of the alien race and their impact upon humans as individuals. This can be seen in the debut trailer featured below. The Hum: Abductions is currently in development using Unreal Engine 4 and will launch on both PlayStation 4 and PC. The trailer includes an Oculus logo, suggesting that the videogame will be compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), however no mention of Project Morpheus has yet been present. VRFocus will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on The Hum: Abductions and The Hum universe.
