COD Advanced Warfare System Requirements Glimpsed

Annual COD! Its that time of the year, when the massive budget gaming releases are fast coming into view. Whether you like COD or not, the franchise sells well for Activision and you can bet your bottom dollar that they will keep producing an annual COD if people keep buying it. And they do. Apparently Ghosts sold 14.5 million copies.

Advanced Warfare looks like it took some serious inspiration from Neill Blomkamp's Elysium, as you get to run around in a super fancy muscle enhancing exo-skeleton. Well we have caught a brief glimpse of the COD Advanced Warfare system requirements and if you want to run Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on your PC, assuming the optimisation of Advanced Warfare is solid, then you are going to need a reasonable modern rig.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Minimum System Requirements

• OS: Windows 7 64-bit
• CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 Ghz OR AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 Ghz or better
• RAM: 6GB of System Memory
• GPU RAM: 1 GB Graphics Memory
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX GTS 450 OR ATI Radeon HD 5870
• HD: 40GB
• DX: DirectX 11
• Net: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Recommended System Requirements

• CPU: Intel Core i5-680 @3.6GHz or similar AMD CPU
• RAM: 8GB of System Memory
• GPU RAM: 4 GB Graphics Memory
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

An important point of note is that these requirements were since removed from the official site where we spotted them. This could mean one of a couple of things. Firstly, these requirements are just a copy of the COD Ghosts requirements and could have been accidentally copied to the Activision site, as they templated the new advanced warfare webpage from the similar Ghosts page. OR they are just the early guess requirements, based entirely on COD Ghosts requirements but are pending the technical teams confirmation of accuracy and so were pulled until that happens. Or they are in fact the accurate COD Advanced Warfare requirements but because they have not officially announced the requirements yet via a press release they had to be pulled until the marketing is in place to capitalise on the announcement.

All that is left on the official website at the moment is confirmation of the operating system (win 7 or 8 64bit) and its Direct X requirement (DX 11).
