Far Cry 4 Will Have Missions Set Outside The Kyrat Game World

Ubisoft Toronto’s creative director Alex Hutchinson has claimed that Far Cry 4’s missions won’t be confined solely to the mountainous region of Kyrat, with some set outside out the game’s main world.

In Far Cry 4’s campaign players will take on the role of a Himalayan native called Ajay who makes his return to Kyrat before unwittingly getting embroiled in a deep-rooted civil war against the evil dictator Pagan Min.

As is commonplace with Ubisoft’s big budget titles, a number of different studios are hard at work on Far Cry 4. While Ubisoft Montreal works on the main campaign, the Toronto and Shanghai studios are working on content outside of Kyrat.

"Ubisoft Toronto is working on a series of missions set in an all new environment outside of the game world, and so is Ubisoft Shanghai,” said Hutchinson. “We'll be showing their work off shortly, so stay tuned."

Far Cry 4 is scheduled to launch on November 18th in the US and November 21st in Europe, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
